About the White Vulture Film Festival

The White Vulture Film Festival operates outside the sphere of stale academia and outside the sphere of the cocktail class usually associated with the Film Festival circuit.

The WVFF’s sole concern is art.

Whether through a fearless acting performance, the eloquence of your story telling, or mind blowing FX; we celebrate risks and reward film makers looking to push themselves and their projects beyond their own limitations and  boundaries.

If you wanted the viewer to laugh, we want to laugh until it hurts. If you wanted the audience to cry, then make us sob. If you hoped your project would be shocking, then we want you to blow our damn minds.

This governing philosophy and conviction is what makes us the “Cannes” of online film festivals.

Our judging committee of NYC area art, film, music and theater professionals is looking forward to receiving your project and giving full attention to all of its artistic merits… this is why we will never charge extra submission fees for performance and production categories. This is why we want to screen the films of all semi finalists and give them a forum in which to speak about their projects. 

We want to see what you’ve done… no matter how angry, gentle, silly, violent, depressing, foul-mouthed, or anywhere in between it may be.

HOW IT WILL WORK FOR OUR TWO DAY AWARDS February 2024

Feb. 22 and 23 - a screening of all award winning projects from 2021

Feb 23 (evening)- Award Ceremony and Presentation

- The will be a Bi-Monthly Online Festival.

- All Bi-Monthly Semi-Finalists will have the option of having their project screened on our site www.whitevulturetheater.com .

- Best bi-monthly performance and productions awards will be selected from Semi-Finalist projects for no additional fee.

- All Bi-Monthly Award Winning PROJECTS will become Official Selections to the Annual Event, and be considered for nomination and screening at second annual "Vulture Awards" to be held at the Hawthorne Theater Feb 2024.

- Additionally, up to 4 Online Semi-Finalists deemed worthy of a second look by fresh judges may be chosen as Official Selections for the Vulture Awards.

- Best performance and productions Nominations for the Vulture Awards will be taken from Official Selections of the Vulture Awards.

- All winners of the Annual Live Event will receive a Vulture Ward... still being finished up.. but check the instagram... they are going to be the coolest awards in festival history,
